David Nice Builders led the ground-up design-build construction of the New Kent County Animal Shelter in New Kent County, a thoughtfully planned facility created to better serve the community and support the care and well-being of animals. Working closely with county stakeholders from initial design through final construction, our team helped shape a functional, efficient, and welcoming space tailored to the specific needs of the shelter and its staff. From early planning through project completion, the facility reflects a collaborative design-build approach focused on long-term functionality, quality construction, and a positive environment for both animals and the community.

A State-of-the-Art Hub for Safety & Service

David Nice Builders, in collaboration with GuernseyTingle and Stewart-Cooper Newell, served as the design-build lead for the new Williamsburg Fire Station project located in The City of Williamsburg. The facility spans 32,000 and serves as a state-of-the-art hub for fire/EMS, fire administration and emergency operations for the City of Williamsburg. Through close coordination with the city, the project team provided comprehensive preconstruction services including site evaluation, budgeting, and phasing strategies to meet the client’s long-term operational needs and vision.
